On View: Augustana Senior Show

The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery opens “The Augustana Senior Show” which will be on view from April 27 through May 20, Augustana’s commencement. A gallery reception with awards and talks by graduating artists will be on Friday, April 28 from 7-9 p.m.; awards and artist talks at 7:30 p.m.
This exhibit celebrates the graduating art majors in their senior portfolio show opening at the Eide/Dalrymple Gallery at Augustana University. On exhibit will be a wide variety of works including ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, digital photography, and graphic design. Beyond the diversity of mediums, each of the seven graduating seniors bring their own unique approaches to their art making, informed by their wide range of second majors, minors, and extra curriculars that formed their liberal arts education.
Grace Dixon, an Art and History major from Olathe, Kansas;
Marcus Naess, an Art and Computer Science major with a Data Science minor from Bergen, Norway;
Alexa V. Schroeder, a Pre-Architecture Art major with Spanish minor from Sioux Falls, SD;
Dariga (Danny) Shektybayeva, an Art and Physics dual-degree Engineering major and mathematics minor from Karaganda, Kazakhstan;
Elaine Taggatz, an Art and Computer Science major from Sioux Falls, SD;
Mary Tuggle, an Art major from Jasper, Alabama;
Camryn Van Lingen, an Art and Education major from Sioux Falls, SD.

The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery is located on Commons Circle (30th Street and Grange Avenue), in the Center for Visual Arts at Augustana University. The Eide/Dalrymple Gallery is open and free to the public, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 1-4 p.m.
