Calls For Participation
For students, an opportunity to snack in the classroom is a chance to calm nerves, get needed energy for critical thinking, and find motion for extra effort. The Little Stone Church is working hard to ensure there are enough snacks in the classrooms at Whittier to keep students motivated and fueled for the educational demands before them without teachers needing to pay for those snacks using their personal funds. Your art will help us illuminate the importance of fueling education through snacks and other supports for our schools. People from the community will not only enjoy your artwork, but they will also have an opportunity to learn about how to partner with us in supporting Whitter and its teachers and staff.
Open to children, adults, teams, nonprofit organizations, and businesses Artwork must be primarily made of empty snack bags and boxes. (All perishables must be removed, and bags lightly wiped-out. 3D Sculptures must be able to fit through standard doors (SIZE) or easily assembled on-site. 2D work must be ready to hang with a string across the back. If submitting a wearable, please have a model available for the fashion show (1/12/2024 at 6:30 p.m.)
Deadline for submission to participate Friday, December 15.
