I was born and raised on a ranch near Hot Springs SD. Attended SDSU in 1969 – 1971 as an art major, in 1971 I was Miss SD and represented SD at the Miss America Pageant where my 6’x8’ painting of an eagle was part of my dramatic talent presentation. My husband and I spent over 36 years in Nebraska. When we moved back to SD to retire I went back to SDSU and finished my bachelor’s degree graduating in 2021.
i work mostly in pastel, colored Pencil and acrylics. I’ve always had a love and appreciation of all things wild so much of my work is in landscapes and animals including pet portraits.
