I was born in San Bernardino, CA but raised in Sioux Falls, SD where I attended college. I graduated from Augustana University in 2016 and received my bachelor’s degree in art, Spanish, and business administration with an emphasis in marketing. As an artist, my favorite medium to work with is oil paint, but I do work with a variety of others such as graphite, gouache, acrylic paint, etc. The process of creating artwork has always been therapeutic and a form of meditation for me. Some of my pieces document glimpses of my everyday life where I like to focus on moments easily overlooked. Other artwork I enjoy creating are based on floral themes. I find that flowers are a great vehicle for expressing a range of emotions and symbolizing significant life events. My artwork is a reflection of my desire to slow down and to visually journal my emotions.
