About The Artist

Kimberly is a multi-instrumentalist and talented vocalist from Nebraska, but is no stranger to South Dakota.

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of South Dakota. Her focus was the clarinet, but also studied and performed on piano and voice.

After obtaining her music degree, Kimberly wanted to continue her performance experience by enlisting into the South Dakota Army National Guard as a musician in the 147th Army Band based out of Mitchell, SD. She continues to serve with this unit performing for both military and community concerts as the lead vocalist in the 147th’s country/classic rock band or playing clarinet in the concert band. She frequently performs the National Anthem for both military and civilian events. Her most notable performances to date have been the 2019 Sanford International PGA World Tour, which was televised on the Golf Channel and performing during the 2020 Salute to America Celebration at Mount Rushmore that was broadcast live by FOX.

Although she is classically trained, Kimberly is highly versed in her true love of the contemporary genres of country and rock, singing and playing a variety of instruments such as guitar, piano, and even the occasional banjo. She has over 20 years of performance experience entertaining as both a soloist at private events or the frontwoman of cover bands in front of much larger crowds in the thousands. The most recent band was South Dakota’s premier cover band, the Black Water Band.

When Kimberly is not performing, she spends her afternoons teaching private lessons, specializing in intermediate piano.

So whether it’s touching hearts at special events, honoring the flag with our National Anthem, performing an acoustic show at a local winery or coffee shop, playing clarinet in a municipal or military band or just sharing the joy of music with her students, her specialty is versatility and is always happy to collaborate!
