I am originally from the Chicago area. I came to South Dakota in 1989 to attend USD where I studied communication in organization management. I also had a passion for the fine arts and minored in art history. Upon graduation I returned to Chicago and had a successful career in business while studying painting as a hobby. After leaving Chicago to return to Sioux Falls I changed my focus and stayed home with my two children and took a grater interest in my artwork and focused on painting. I eventually opened JK Gallery in the spring of 2012 and opened an artist studio at 8Th and RR center. I began selling my artwork and reaching out to well known art venues where my Artwork was shown in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, New York and Chicago.
I currently work with several other local artists and help with donations to wonderful causes such as Emily’s Hope. I feel blessed to be able to share my artwork with so many other talented local fine artists. My work as well as other artists works are currently showing at the Frank Gallery in DTSF.
