About The Artist

Grace Maska (Reiffenberger) was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on September 13th, 2001. She attended the University of South Dakota and graduated in May of 2024. She now working as a K-12 art teacher. Grace married Noah Maska in June of 2024, and they are settling into their new lives together in Salem, South Dakota. Grace has been seen in various shows affiliated with the University of South Dakota from 2020-2024, such as the Annual Stillwell Exhibitions and other self-curated shows through the Student Art Alliance on campus. She has participated in the Sioux Falls Sidewalk Arts Festival and has sold her work to the USD student body, as well.

Artist Statement: Grace Maska is a South Dakota-based painter whose work blends abstract and realistic elements through the use of oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Drawing inspiration from nature, florals, Christianity, and the quiet strength of women, her art is rooted in themes of serenity and emotional healing. With a focus on conveying peace, calm, and joy, Maska’s paintings serve as a visual refuge for those experiencing mental health challenges—offering gentle imagery and soothing color palettes that invite rest and reflection.
