My name is Em Nguyen. I have lived in Sioux Falls for 29 years, and have been painting for the past ten. I was born in Vietnam, and when I was two my family and I moved to Sioux Falls. My favorite part of painting is making what I like to call “happy accidents.” I prefer a blissful marriage of watercolor and acrylic, and I’m inspired by landscapes and animals. I like combining the elements of nature with geometric shapes. Fusing together nature and sharp angles is one of my favorite contrasts. I love using vibrant colors and making surrealistic paintings. Welcoming to any subject matter of commission.
