Artist Toolkit for Success: Business skills to set you apart
Second Tuesday of the Month, September through May
6:30-8:00 PM
The Underground by Rehfelds (also virtually via Facebook Live)
No cost • No registration
There will also be a supplemental working session the third Monday of the month at the Downtown Library, from 6:30-7:45PM. These hands-on sessions will be an opportunity for artists to apply what they learn in a supportive and collaborative group setting. These working sessions are optional and in-person only.
All workshops will be led by business coach and founder of The Watering Can, Claudia Dail, as well as artists Alex Lunstra and Julie Dent. Each month a different topic will be covered; from marketing to accounting to legal considerations, and everything in between.
“The arts bring vibrancy to a community. Sioux Falls has a wonderful arts scene making it a vibrant city with much to offer those of us who live in and near. My hope is to help artists be successful so they will stay and continue to share their creativity,” says Dail.
The Watering Can is a local nonprofit founded in 2014 with a mission to embrace the arts through community development, and assist artists in their professional and leadership development. They are passionate about supporting artists in developing business skills in order to be profitable, and continue doing what they love.
