SIOUX FALLS, SD (March 9, 2017) Executive Director Kara Dirkson gave notice to the Board of her intent to resign in early February. Her last day with the organization was Friday, February 23, 2018.
“We appreciate Kara’s efforts in 2017 to help us advance the mission of the Arts Council, and we wish her well in the future,” said Board President Alex Hagen. We are now focused on achieving the goals that we identified in a strategic planning session held earlier this year and in hosting the upcoming Sioux Falls Awards in the Arts at Augustana University on March 15, 2018. We will continue to bring the arts to life in Sioux Falls in 2018 and beyond.
