Levitt Sioux Falls Announces Search for Executive Director

Sioux Falls, S.D. – With construction slated to begin spring 2018, Friends of Levitt Shell Sioux Falls, the local nonprofit organization that brought together the City of Sioux Falls and the national Levitt Foundation to create an outdoor performance venue at Falls Park West, seeks its first Executive Director.

“Next year will be exciting as construction begins on the site and we transition to the early stages of being operational, says Jennifer Kirby, President of the Friends of Levitt Board, “hiring our first Executive Director is a pivotal step in that transition.”

The search process is being coordinated by a subcommittee of the Friends of Levitt Shell Sioux Falls Board which has worked closely with the Levitt Foundation to strategize initial hiring needs. The organization seeks candidates with fundraising and management experience who will build relationships with potential audience members, area businesses and organizations throughout the community.

“Ideally, we’ll have our Executive Director take the reins in May 2018, which is about the time construction gets underway,” Kirby says, “We’re looking for a dynamic person who is passionate about using music as a way to build community. That’s the heart of our mission.”

Both local and national candidates are welcome to apply. A job description and application instructions can be found online at www.levittsiouxfalls.org.
