Join us for an evening of brand new classical music compositions by Connor Gibbs performed by students, professors, and professional musicians from South Dakota. This program, themed “Chapters,” represents different moments in one’s life (lightly inspired by Connor’s own experiences). This program includes six world premieres for ensembles including a string orchestra and a percussion octet, as well as smaller chamber music works for piano, clarinet, and more.

This concert is free, and all are welcome! Connor is a composer currently based in Sioux Falls, SD, after having moved to the region in 2022 to work on the administrative team of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. Please join us for an evening of discovery, surprises, and beautiful harmony.
