The Brookings Arts Council (BAC) is thrilled to invite the community to its 2nd Annual Block Party for the Arts Fundraiser on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 524 4th Street, Brookings, SD. This vibrant, family-friendly outdoor event celebrates local creativity and community engagement and is the Brookings Art Council’s main fundraiser for the year.

We’re very thrilled to offer a variety of activities for the event:

-Local Artist Vendors showcasing unique artwork
-Live Music by Erik Ritter and others
-Fiber Arts Craft lead by John Sterner, Sicangu Lakota artist and teacher
-Interactive Art Activities such as screen printing demonstrations by CleanSlate Design + Print
-Yard Games
-Face Painting for all ages (for a small additional fee)
-T-Shirt Tie-Dye Station (tie-dying and special white BAC t-shirts are available for $20 per person)
-Food Trucks offering a variety of cuisines (food on your own)
-Information Booths on upcoming BAC classes and membership opportunities

Tickets are priced at $20 for adults, while children aged 0-14 can attend for free with an accompanying adult. Tickets can be purchased online or at the event. Face painting and tie-dying are additional fees to cover costs and expenses. If weather is inclement, the event will be held indoors at the Brookings Arts Council.

Proceeds from the Block Party will support BAC’s mission to foster community connections through the arts by providing a supportive environment for awareness, appreciation, and participation.
