Hello! My name is Ava Hillberg, born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Currently, I am a Bachelor of Fine Arts candidate with concentrations in painting and drawing.

I enjoy creating representational work that leaves room for ambiguity and contemplation, whether it be through the pairing of unlikely objects or surreal atmospheres. I’ve recently begun to learn printmaking, working to translate these themes into the context of plate lithography and woodcut.
