The first concert of the 2016-17 school year will feature the debut of TWO orchestras! The Harmony Sinfonia will perform traditional fiddle tunes Hoedown #1 & Boil ‘Em Cabbage, along with Offenbach’s “Can Can” and popular original pieces “Viva La Twinkle” & “Autumn Breeze.” The Philharmonia will join the Sinfonia for a few of these pieces in addition to performing Karl Jenkin’s “Palladio” and Handel’s “La Rejouissance.” The Harmony Choir will perform the Beatles’ “Ob La Di”, Shakira’s “Try Everything”, Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know”, and the traditional Spiritual “Joshua Fought the Battle”. And you won’t want to miss the Harmony Chamber Choir performing a BoomWhacker arrangement of Katy Perry’s “Firework”!
