Bruce Roseland, author of five published works of poetry, two of which have received national awards, invites you to a free verse poetry workshop in the community room of the Watertown (SD) Regional Library, 160 6th St., NE, starting at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 5, 2016. (telephone: 605 882-6220)
Mr. Roseland states, “For this session I would like you to bring examples of two of your own writings that you would like to work on or share. I will talk about some of the techniques that I use to shape and move a poem along. I would like to see what each of the participants thinks good free verse poetry is and how to improve upon it.
You need not consider yourself a (serious) writer to take part in this session. The idea is to share, learn and have some fun.”
This workshop is sponsored by Northern Prairie Art Council and is free to the participants.
