7th Annual Recovery Art Show

The Annual Recovery Art Show – Tallgrass Recovery holds an annual art show and this year, opening night is August 30th, at the Post Pilgrim Gallery. Tallgrass Recovery is a community-based partnership designed to bring together diverse groups of individuals from all demographics to establish a dialogue on the struggles of addiction and the beauty of a life of recovery. Art is a powerful tool to initiate discussion of difficult issues like addiction. At Tallgrass Recovery, our vision is to help individuals and families suffering from alcohol and drug addiction get their lives back; a life they never imagined possible. By combining art and our vision at Tallgrass Recovery we have created a community based discourse displaying the effects of addiction and how individuals survive the disease. This is a free event, open to the public. Each year this event strives to reduce stigma, educate the public, and provide an outlet for community members to express their experiences with addiction.
